Vanguard Product Marketing, LLC
My business career started at a Menards retail store in the southern suburbs of Chicago in the 1990’s. With the support and encouragement of my father, who was a carpenter at that time, I worked hard in the Menards Millwork Department (#400) for many years and at 3 different retail locations, including Indianapolis, IN – where I later graduated with degrees in International Management and Spanish from Butler University.
During my tenure at Butler University, I also interned under an experienced female Product Manager at Delta Faucet Company and a female Store Team Leader (STL) at a Target store on the South Side of Indy.
After graduating from Butler University in May, 2000 – I was hired as a Product Manager for wolfcraft of America and my family and I relocated back to our homeland (the Chicago area) that December. Wolfcraft afforded me some really cool experiences; I had some good fun and met some really interesting people during those first few years of real global business in the new millennium.
I sought an Outside Sales role that wasn’t available at wolfcraft, so I moved on to Pella Windows. I was professionally sales-trained in Pella, IA and had the pleasure to tour some of the most advanced and impressive factories I’ve seen thus far in my career.

After a few years of record-setting-selling in McHenry Co. IL, I was hired again as a Product Manager – this time fully responsible for RedHead concrete anchors with Illinois Tool Works (ITW). I had approximately 3 years of trade/market focus, 80/20, and PLS (product line simplification) during my time at ITW.
After ITW, I worked at Robert Bosch Tool Corporation in a variety of marketing roles over the next 10 years. I always kept a laser-focus on all things concrete, masonry, tile and natural stone.
Most recently, I spent 3 years as a Product Manager for fencing products at Midwest Air Technologies (MAT). I earned a Professional Fence Installer certificate from a week of hands-on training down in Dallas, TX. Loved it. I’ve also been professionally trained to cut concrete. I’ve drilled thousands of holes in all types of materials too! Give me a call if you’d like to see if I can poke holes in something you’re working on. You know I’ve seen a lot since 2000 and I keep learning every day!
